Many of the roots of Bluegrass music go back to European, Celtic and African musical roots. Today European musicians are incorporating their own musical heritage and traditions into their interpretation of Bluegrass music. This creates a rich and beautiful diversity of bands showcased every year at Bluegrass in La Roche with delicious flavours of Irish, Russian, Slav, French, Italian and, of course, American roots music from the white and black communities in the Bluegrass on display.
