Bluegrass jams are famous meeting points for musicians to get together and have fun playing old and new songs. They happen all over the world and several jams are now organised around France and in neighbouring Geneva.
La Roche Bluegrass Workshop is a 3-day camp before the festival, designed to help you, whatever your level, improvise and take part in a Bluegrass jam with autonomy and confidence: "learn to play without being tied to tablatures!" |
this workshop is for you if ...
There are two groups per instrument (12 students to a group) allowing for the inclusion of different levels, from elementary to advanced. 20 hours of instruction are scheduled with standard instrument classes and additional, optional classes, supervised jams and "band labs". There is also a kids class, taught by a French qualified youth instructor (age 12 - 17). Workshop "band labs", formed during the workshop and coached by one of the tutors, kick off the festival on the main stage on Thursday. |
